Is there any reason why an internal email is marked as spam? Ie one email to another both on the same domain...

Whats the best method for whitelisting these emails?

Cheers

You can find the reason in email headers, look for X-Spam-Status.
By default, internal emails should not be scanned by anti-spam if the antispam and SMTP Relay options are configured properly.

philstone,

we had the same strange issue where the new bit defender anti-spam would tag internal mail too.

Kerio support gave us a work around that has been working very well for us; create a custom rule under the anti-spam settings in the kerio admin and add a score of minus 10 to email from internal domain.

see attached screenshot (if i managed to attach it...)

That works until your domain is spoofed.

That works until your domain is spoofed.

Which can't be spoofed if you use Sender Policy setting and SPF.

Hi,

This is the X-Spam Status..

X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=1.1 required=0.5
tests=AWL: -0.054,BAYES_00: -1.665,DOS_OUTLOOK_TO_MX: 2.845,
FSL_HELO_NON_FQDN_1: 0.001,HTML_MESSAGE: 0.001,URIBL_BLOCKED: 0.001,
TOTAL_SCORE: 1.129,autolearn=no

Could you give some guidance on the correct config for internal emails and SPF?

Cheers
