Hi,
I found following issue with OoO, What happened:
1. I turned on the OoO (Out of Office messages) on my account on Kerio Connect. I realized a ton of NDR in my mailbox afterwards that Kerio was unable to send an e-mail to address like " SRS0=q/Bn=M6=potomac1050.mktomail.com=356-UVH-403.0.4320.0.0 .6037.7.15745052 <_at_>smtproutes.com".
2. I investigated the issue and here is the result: We are using MAX Mail filtering service for both incoming and outgoing mail. MAX Mail implements SRS for SPF, so it rewrites the original SMTP FROM to an e-mail address just like mentioned above. When Kerio receives an e-mail, it responds with OoO to this rewritten e-mail address, which results in a bounce from <_at_>smtproutes.com as non-existent mailbox.
3. I believe, that it is a bug and OoO should use the MIME FROM (or better MIME Reply-to) address to send the OoO messages.
4 another side effect from this is that as the SMTP FROM addresses are generated as unique, the "each 7 days" feature for OoO does not work and the OoO messages are generated everytime - which is the reason I really NOTICED the issue as I got some hundred notification from the same address which resulted to hundred of NDRs in my inbox
Does anybody a hind how to bypass this or it is really a bug?
Thank you for help!
