Hi I wonder if any one can help.

We run Kerio Connect Server in house (we are completely mac based)

Our account department is part of a group of companies and they use a microsoft exchange server and Outlook for their email.

I have to confess I know very little about PC's, Outlook Profiles etc.

We have set up an email account for the account dept. on our kerio server and at the moment they are accessing it through webmail which isn't very convenient for them and have asked for ways to integrate it so they can see it in Outlook along side their other mail account.

I thought they could just add as many accounts as they want but apparently you can't do that, and they would have to set it up as a separate Outlook profile and have to switch back and forth between them, is this true, is there no way to have both accounts visible and usable together, I use apple mail and have all my accounts up at the same time

A separate profile isn't necessary. You can either setup the Kerio Connect hosted account as an IMAP account (which would not sync calendars and contacts), or you can install the Kerio Outlook Connector, and then setup the Kerio Connect account that way. This would sync calendars and contacts. To setup the Kerio Connect account, you just need to go into File - Account Settings, and add a new account. If you're using the Kerio Outlook Connector, use the manual setup, and then the "other" section to select the Kerio Outlook Connector as the server type. I have done this several times.

The best way would be to connect them with imap, I guess they don't need contacts or calendar. Also if they use exchange directly AND are from a "different" company, they also should have their own network and I guess their admin won't be happy to install another software (KOFF) to their system and update it, just because one company needs it.

If they go to outlook > Accountsettings, they can add a new connection under the mail tab (IMAP to kerio). The Kerio Mail Account will be a second folder in their outlook (like the public folders) and they can use it without changing anything. They won't need a secondary data/pst/whatever file.
