Hi guys,

we have some public calendars, one of it for our outdoor team. They need to put their visits in there, so anyone sees where they are.

With exchange it wasn't possible to set reminders/notifications for public folders. So a college could copy his entry from his private calendar to the public one and done. Now they still do it, but kerio actually accepts reminders there, so everyone gets them. Really annoying on a phone.

Is there a way to disable this behavior for public folders? Any other ideas? Disabling the reminders in the client isn't that great, because they might miss a meeting because of it (only globally to disable).

What's the point? You can disable the reminder once it has been copied or created in a public calendar. If some colleagues prefer to use reminders they could set up a reminder themselves.

Yeah, that's what I told them too - disable the reminder if copied into the public calendar.

As a matter of fact - they don't do it or forget it. That's why I need to disable it for the public folder - it's not needed there anyway.
