I am pleased to announce the beta version of Kerio Connect 9.0 is available for you to download and review. A couple highlights of the upcoming release include a refreshed look and feel of the web client that is clean and simple with more one-click workflows for common activities. Administrators can remotely perform server upgrades using the Kerio Connect administration from any browser, improve email management with server-based filter and relay rules, and enable support for IPv6.

Your feedback is welcome. Please submit comments and bug reports to kms-beta<_at_>kerio.com or via the "Report problem" button in the beta.

Refer to the beta release notes for a complete list of improvements.

Download the beta version here.

Thank you,

Pavel DobrĂ½

Hello, we've been a Kerio Connect customer since 2009 and our current setup is running on Windows Server 2008 Std x64 (Not R2)

Your Beta does not support this operating system, although it is 64bit.

Does this mean that future versions of Kerio Connect will no longer be available for it? effectively making our current server operating systems EOL

I haven't had a chance to install the beta yet, however one thing I'd like to submit as feedback is if Kerio Connect can play nicely with OS X and Server.app.
In each newer version of Server on OS X, the app is more and more aggressive at stealing ports 80 and 443 for it's own web services.
Apple have a documented webapp system whereby the built-in Apache can proxy connections through to 3rd party services listening on other ports.

Here's an example of making a web app for Server that will allow Kerio Connect to co-exist with Server and it's web services:

Hey Pavel,

the beta and functions sound great, especially the ipv6 support was quite a surprise.

Do you have any ETA on the final kerio 9 release?

There look to be some nice new features... but I also noticed that the 'classic' Kerio Webmail is listed as no longer available.

If this is the way things are going then I'm sorry to say that 9.0 is a no-go for me. The new web client has been making substantial improvements, but I still have some users (especially those with very large mail stores) who refuse to use the new interface. And, sadly, those are the people higher on the corporate food-chain.

I'd urge you to keep the classic interface available for a while longer yet. I know it's a pain, but the new web client (at least from a user's point of view) is not yet feature complete. And forcing them over on 9.0 is not going to make me any friends.

Oh, any chance we could get a screenshot tour of the new interface on this thread?

I second the request for some 9.0 screenshots. If anyone running the beta would be so kind?

The demo.kerio.com site is running 9.0 so you can test out the new client there.

The server side filtering looks great, can we count on finally being able to filter by date as well? If not, is there still time to implement such a filter criteria? Like move all mails from last year to an archive folder?

thanks for the great work!

I'm in agreement that you really need to keep the old web client for a while. I think the new client looks a little juvenile. Not as polished or professional as the old client. For our users (220) the old client mimics Outlook pretty well and they were OK with using it when they had to. No one wants to use the newer client. Just my 2 cents.....

I love the new web design. I think it looks easy to understand and modern. It is similar to Outlook.com, which is undoubtedly where Microsoft is headed with their Exchange 2016 webmail as well.

For us people prefer still the old client,
better overview , better sorting (in new 9 no sorting at all??) . mostly due better columns in the old view. Can this be integrated in the new one?

looking good... thanks for the ability to test

with the server/client side filtering.... is it possible to add something like "Automatic Reply:" and then the original subject to a recipients autoreply when they have out of office enabled?

currently... as you know... it just sends the auto-reply with re:[original subject].. and no indicatin that it is an autoreply

would rather: Automatic Reply: [original subject]

would like this so that when the sender gets the reply it alerts them immediately to the fact that the recpipient hasn't read the message... in addition... we an then use that prefix in custom rules for moving/deleting those auto-rplies from the catchall account on the server

also... and i know this is a stretch... is there anyway that the auto-reply can be set NOT to send a reply to things like newsletters etc... esp some that may have something like "do not reply to this email address"

thanks

I love the new design. Very clean and modern.

But because of the font problem (different browsers not using the same standard font) if I'm using the webmail as my default client, I miss the possibility to answer in text-only mode (instead of HTML). But there is no way to convert a message to text only.

Why?

Cheers Tom

HTML is a standard now for email content. It allows to produce more readable text with paragraph wrapping etc. So Kerio Connect Client produces both plaintext and HTML for every message. Most of the clients prefer to display HTML body part.

What is the reason for using plaintext only?
