I'm not sure if this is related to Kerio or not, but I'm completely baffled by the situation.
In an office of about 50 employees, there have recently been complaints from all of the employees that names are showing up in the Apple Mail 'Previous Recipients' list that they have never e-mailed previously.
For instance, one department has a client with the first name of Leigh. A recent employee was hired in this office that happens to also have the name Leigh, and people have been e-mailing the incorrect Leigh because they type in the first few letters, see the name auto-populate, figure it is the one they are looking for without really paying attention, and then send an e-mail to the incorrect Leigh.
My first thought was that someone accidentally put the incorrect Leigh into a mass e-mail and a bunch of people replied-all to the e-mail and therefore had that name added to their previous recipients list. However, typically people use a mailing list when e-mailing something company-wide making this scenario less likely.
To add to the confusion, I was talking to one of the employees about it and it was something they had been aware of for a while. In fact, they said they often go through and remove e-mail addresses in their previous recipients list from clients they have never e-mailed before from departments they would never ever have to deal with. After some period of time (currently unknown) the addresses show back up in their Previous Recipients list.
The only person that I have found that doesn't have the address in their Previous Recipients list is still running 10.8.5. Everyone else in the office is on 10.10.X.
Do you think there is any possible way that this information is somehow getting synced via KerioConnect? I can't possibly imagine how. I'm leaning more towards something with Yosemite and OpenDirectory, but I thought I'd start here since it deals with e-mail and contacts.
Any potential help from anyone would be awesome. People are tired of sending e-mails to incorrect addresses.

You are correct in that it is generated by Mail, however, it actually stores the information a Containers folder (~/Library/Containers/com.apple.corerecents.recentsd/Data/Li brary/Recents/Recents) in 10.9 and 10.10. Prior to that, it was tied to the Address Book. Both use SQL files.
On my own machine I have played around with exactly how the Previous Recipients list stores info. It only adds something to the list if you have actually sent something to that address. It does not retain it if that address sends you anything. So the fact that every person but the person running 10.8 has not only the e-mail address that I used an example, but dozens of others that they have never sent messages to tells me that something is somehow merging and syncing everyone's lists.
I really do not think it is related to Kerio, but I can't prove that it isn't related any more than I can prove that it is. I'm not seeing anything online about it anywhere else in any forums. My hunch is that it is tied to Apple Server, but again, no way to prove it one way or the other.
