Hello,

If I disable protocol inspector for a specific user will the statistics for that user still be gathered?

In the Accounting and Monitoring dialog you can configure statistics gathering for a defined group. All others will be excluded from statistics gathering. This is the preferred approach, otherwise if you disable protocol inspection then some services may not work, and there will be no anti-virus or content filtering applied to that user.
