Suggested Configuration for OS X 10.10 and Kerio 8.3.4? [message #117420] Mon, 10 November 2014 21:45 Go to next message

I have configured Kerio Server as Exchange Account in OS X 10.10. Is this the correct setting, or do I really need to use the Integration Page, which creates IMAP Accounts if I remember correctly.

With Exchange I have some weird behavior with OS X Mail. (missing Folders, crashes, etc.). I really do not want to open IMAP ports and in some remote locations it is simply not possible to connect with imap. So HTTPS and EWS would be my favorite.

If EWS is supported, might there be an issue with an really large account (6GB roughly..)??

best regards,
alex

EWS for Mac OSX 10.6 and above was added in Kerio Connect v.8.3. See http://kb.kerio.com/1601

When you use the Integration Page, Outlook is configured as an Exchange Account by default and Mac Mail appears to be configured as an IMAP account by default.

I'm not 100% sure about any mailbox size issues. Perhaps someone else can lend a hand on this topic?

Thanks for the clarification!
I might note that I just went to 10.10.1 Beta 2 and at least until now all current Problems with Exchange Account in OS X Mail disappeared...!!
Release notes explicitly mentioned Exchange Accounts for OS X Mail..

Fingers crossed!!

Generally the Mail application is evolving quite fast, Apple is now focusing on it, so there can be some glitches along the way. I have an account configured which is about 2 GB (OS X 10.10) and no problems observed.

Pavel,

Has Apple resolved the Public Folders subscription issue in 10.10.x or is it still outstanding?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jon

I'm afraid that it's intentional behaviour.
Please see this post for further explanation:

Also - it does look like the underlying URL with that link was corrupted. If you copy the text and paste it into your browser's address bar, you'll get there just fine. The underlying link incorrectly refers to http://forums.kerio.com/Pleaseseethispostforfurtherexplanati on

It should be:
