We've observed that when iTunes is installed on a machine using the off-line connection (ver 8.2.1), user's Outlook will randomly go into a 'not responding' state. We disabled the iTunes related plug-ins to Outlook, with no joy. Uninstalling iTunes (and ripping out all vestiges), or re-formatting & re-installing the OS seems to clear the problem. This happens on both Windows XP and Winows 7 Pro. We pulled our hair out for weeks trying to track down this issue.
Has anyone else observed this, or better yet, have any suggestions?
