What information does properties.fld contain?
For what does Kerio use properties.fld?
How does BDBChecker check properties.fld?

StorageCheck is cosing us big problems and I'm trying to understand what is it and what it is used for. I would appreciate any information on this topic.

Thank you in advance and best regards.

Properties.fld file is a database file and contains metadata for the folder and messages in the folder. BDBChecker checks the file integrity one hour after server start and then every 7 days.

Dear Pavel,

thank you for your reply.

So, BDBChecker doesn't have to read messages to check the Properties.fld file?

What does Kerio use Properties.fld for?

Is there any way to influence when the BDBChecker will perform it's checks? And how fast he will move from one file to another?

Those checks are cosing us big problems, because our server load gets extremely high, and Kerio is unresponsive (moving mail from one folder to another takes 30 seconds) during this 12 hours period.
