Hi all,
We now need to update from Kerio 7.4.3 to 8.2.2 on our OS.X 10.7.5 Server.
Should that be easy? A upgrade, or should I expect issues with the mail databases?
Anyone know?
What is the proper procedure? etc...

We are going through this as well. The upgrade itself, in my opinion, is the easy part. The changes in the way Calendar sharing is done, is our primary concern. We are writing our own client knowledge article to smooth the transition as much as possible.

I did exactly this a month or so back.
The upgrade went very smoothly. The only problem in the process I remember was that some user's calendars took up to 24 hours to register/show correctly after the upgrade.
However, after the upgrade, If you share a lot of calendars with Mac OSX clients, you will need to prepare your users for some inconvenience as follows:
1. Users will receive an email invitation for EVERY calendar after the upgrade. This can be confusing, especially when they receive them on iPhone and have not been warned in advance.
2. Users will find the calendar list in OSX Calendar clunky after upgrade. The 'Window' menu is no longer used. Instead, users can only view calendars in one big, long list in the calendar app sidebar (if your clients are 10.7 or earlier you may be able to change this by activating the calendar debug menu).
3. In OSX Calendars can not be organized in any preferred order in the sidebar. Your users can spend ages re-arranging but the order will spring back to 'random'.
4. Calendars can no longer be opened in separate, discrete windows. All calendars must be viewed in the same, single window.
5. The 'random' order of calendars makes it very difficult to find a specific calendar.
6. Calendars cannot be organized into folders (OSX limitation).
This is my experience with 50-60 shared calendars.
In retrospect I would have preferred to stay at 7.4.3 since calendars were great there.
However, problems between iOS7 and 7.4.3 (contact syncing/sharing) drove us to upgrade.
i've been looking at some other OS calendar clients but have not seen anything great. BusyCal allows calendars to be dragged into groups, but they have to be re-named. So, it looks like we are stuck with clunky calendars.

Thanks for the info fishtech. Not good news to hear as this client is a heavy calendar user. Plus the fact that 8.2.2 delegation includes InBox as well as main calendar . Not sure what Kerio is thinking to include an InBox, lets say of your bosses email, on the delegate account. That's just nuts and may be enough to cause me to look elsewhere instead of upgrading this Kerio 7.4.3 server for 90 users. Apple's 10.9 iCal Server doesn't do that and generally works well in Cal for another client of mine with 150 users. Just wish it had a decent address book server and vacation notices for Mail, which is why we left Mail Server on a 10.6.8 machine and basically gave up trying to find an address book server able to do Read Only for contacts.
Maybe I'll try the 8.3 Kerio beta to see if they changed this behavior....
