When we send Emails to some peoples email server's the recipient never receives the email.
We turned on "Request a read receipt" & "Request a delivery receipt" and called the receipient so they can tell us if they get it.
We get a message saying its been delivered but never get the read receipt. Checking the log files on our email server shows that the receipient's email server received it. We call the receipient and tell them to check their Inbox and spam messages to see if they got it.
Some people have found it in their spam box but most don't find anything.
Today I got an email and replied to it and it got rejected due to content restrictions from the receipients email server.
So I sent a new email to the receipient with nothing but the "set to address", a subject of "Training", and in the body I put "Check if this gets received."
It was promptly rejected due to message content.
I have a second email server with a different domain name running Kerio that can send the same exact email without problem.
I have checked both domains to see if they are blacklisted and they both come up clean.
The only difference between these two servers is the software version. the one that works is running 8.1.0 and the one that doesn't is running 8.2.1.
When the problem started the one that has the problem was running 8.2.0 so we upgraded it to 8.2.1 hoping it would fix the problem. It didn't.
Is anyone else experiencing problems like this.

Was there an actual error message included with the rejection notice?
Have you contacted their IT/Mail Admin to see what their mailserver log is saying?
You've may have already considered this - but is there a word in the domain name that is causing the email to be dropped at a mail/content filter in front of their mailserver?
I recently went through this same issue with a client not receiving our mail - turns out it was some issue on their server. Only difference was we didn't receive a rejection notice, just a successful delivery notification. Their Admin never disclosed to me what the issue was - our contact just emailed me one day and said the email problem was fixed and our email should go through now.

Machete,
The actual rejection message was "Message rejected due to content restrictions".
I have had no luck at finding out who maintains any of these email servers and none of the users are tech savvy at all. I am starting to believe that Kerio changed something in the release of 8.2.0 and 8.2.1 because I can send an email to all of the server's without a problem from my email server running. 8.1.0. but I don't want to go backwards on the email version because of browser issues.
One more thing is that alot of the people are people we have been emailing for years without a problem that just recently started not to receive our email. We tried to pin point the date but it apparently was going on for a few weeks before anyone noticed.
Thanks

If you can successfully send a message from the problem domain on 8.1, then send the same message to yourself from 8.1 and 8.2 and compare message headers... that's atleast where I'd look next.

Quote:550 5.7.1 Message rejected due to content restrictions
is an MS Exchange error message (could also be from one of their cloud offerings).
It is up to the mail administrator of the recipient's mail server to lower or change their content/spam checking score to not mark false positives.
You can also try to ask a recipient to put you in their email whitelist and see if that helps.
