Does anyone use the built in ITEMS CLEAN OUT feature of Kerio? We've never had a policy or quota and I have several users who have message stores in the 10-35GB size range. They hang on to everything and it's beginning to eat up disk space. I want to enable the Items Clean Out feature for the domain but I'm afraid it will cause a system halt with all the simultaneous deleting that will be taking place.
Have you turned this on? Does it cause a problem with the server when you do? How well does it work for you with regards to controlling the size of your message stores?
Thanks for any feedback you can lend.

Worked great for me. Just two weeks ago I enabled the feature to remove old "Deleted Items" objects. 330 mailboxes: cut mail store from around 350 GB down to 280 GB. Our hardware is quite mature. Xeon E5405 (4 core), 4 GB RAM on Windows 2008 R2, 15k disks. We noticed absolutely no impact, because I believe the server will only run cleanup on a certain number of objects at a time. I don't remember the exact metric (1000 objects?), but it took a week or two to work its way through every mailbox.

I use it on my catch-all for positive SPAM account. Only keep 30 days in there. It does it quite nicely without any incident - it's probably purging 1,000 messages +- a day. So quite a lot less than the previous poster.
