So I'm trying to ditch Exchange accounts as recommended in KC 8.1 and use CardDAV/CalDAV/IMAP instead.
Having setup the CardDAV account on my iPhone, I can see all my contacts (and groups) but not the public contacts folders.
These are setup in the KC web interface as public contact folders and they show up find in Address Book on Mac and also appear in the Exchange account on my iPhone. But I don't see them in the CardDAV account.
Any ideas how I make this work?
Thanks
James

James,
Did you use the automated config tool to setup your iPhone? To use it, simply navigate to your webmail login page and click the link at the bottom that reads "Set up my device".
It installs the appropriate profile to configure everything for your server, including the public folders for contacts and calendar.
Works really well. Just need to rename all the public accounts if you have multiples setup on your device.
And to remove the accounts, you just delete the profile.
I think that's the best part of the upgrade to 8.x, having a clean way of setting up these accounts.
Cheers,
Jon

thanks lunddal - I suspect that the assistant would probably have done this for me. I didn't realise I needed to setup a separate CardDAV account for public contacts. But in any event I've reverted to exchange. Can't get rid of it until I can get push email via IMAP.
thanks anyway
