Hello Dear friends, I have a problem with CISCO 7941G IP Phone

I configured the phone with my SIP parameters phone is working perfectly (No errors, No Problems), but it's looping Displaying "Registering" but the phone is not registered on my SIP account...
I googled and checked many resources and found that this phone can't work well with Nat enabled firewalls / routers

can I do something, can I override the phone from NAT through traffic rule / policy
Please I need your suggestions

Thank you very much in advanced

I'm using SIP devices behind Kerio Control without any specific SIP configuration.

From a quick search, you are better off contacting your ITSP. They may also need to make changes on their end to accommodate the Cisco phones. You can also consider using the packet capture facility in Control to see what is going on. You or your ITSP may be able to track down the specific issue.

I have done this already, My phone works perfectly from my home....
But it has a trouble behind kerio

can you put your working rules...

Thanks in advanced

My Rule looks like this:

traffic in

Name - CISCO-IN
Source - Internet
Destination - Firewall
Service - SIP
Action - Permit
Log
Translation - MAP 192.168.100.10

traffic out

Name - CISCO-OUT
Source - 192.168.100.10
Destination - Internet
Service - All UDP Ports
Action - Permit
Log
Translation - NAT (Internet)

I don't believe you are fighting a Control configuration. If I understood the link above properly, you are fighting a 7941G configuration. You will have to configure NAT Traversal on it.

I don't have any Cisco phones.

Your ITSP may have some guidelines for configuring a 7941G behind a NAT device.

You may also try the Operator forum. You may find someone in there doing something similar. I lurk in both.

Thanks Silars for your response....

I Did my best..... Ithis CISCO CP-7941G is very tricky phone and has som complications with NAT

So I'll explain what i did if someone will have the kind of problem

My Rule is the same which I mentioned above, I just did a trick in CISCO 7941 SEP<MAC>COnf.XML file... Just Changed the SIP control port to 5080 and then forwarded it so it works perfectly
So strange but is does Wink

Good to see you got it working. I'm wondering if the core issue was the phone trying to do SCCP instead of SIP. I know there are some issues with Cisco phones and which mode they operate.

For a test, you can try to remove that SIP rule in KC and see if it still works. In theory, it should still work, based on my experience.
