I installed 9.2.10 in a client and still 0 improvement in search speed of KOFF .If a user has 10k emails or more outlook search is hanging big time.I ve tested to outlook 2016 x32 and x64 and honestly i ve run out of excuses for the clients that want to use Kerio with Outlook.
Search using webmail is really fast but people in companies use Outlook and they DO NOT want to change it . There needs to be an option to use the server for search through outlook or finally Gfi needs to fix this KOFF. I ve said it many times and I ll repeat it. GFI sells Kerio Connect as Exchange replacement. There is NO exchange replacement if outlook cannot work.

steven.jones wrote on Sun, 04 August 2019 19:49An improvement would be if the online connector went back into development and we had the choice between the two. KOFF for roaming, KOC for static for example. I agree that KOFF is horrible when it comes to users with large accounts as I get those complaints too, never had the problem back in the day with KOC.
What he said.

Unfortunately benefits are only seen on x64 versions of Outlook.

I'd still prefer KOC, apart from the cache in KOFF being slow a PC with multiple users ends up having its drive choked by multiple cache files. KOC mitigates both of these issues.

However, as the 9.2.10 notes aren't there, you can find them on the insider forum post here:

I tried 9.2.10. It appears the problems with Mailbird have indeed been fixed. I never worked for me before and now it does. However, I open it up today and find out that they are doing away with the free version of the app. ugh. I wish we would finally see these improvements to KOFF. They have been talking about it for years. I know it has been said that they will do that in version 9.2.11. I guess I will have to see it to believe it because every time they promise to do it, it gets pushed back.

Question is - do you really need Outlook? We need it for our ERP System to import Mails, but on every other PC I use the Kerio Client (not the Website) and this Program works great without problems.
Btw. KOC can't be revived, because MS changed the way Outlook works years ago and this is breaking things. Don't forget, Outlook and the Exchange connection are prophetary and need to be worked around. I know of two different solutions that also give Outlook an exchange like access (without AC) and BOTH are working similar like KOFF (IMAP etc. under Outlook with a local cache. And kerio was - at least a year ago - the fastest solution with KOFF.
So far KOFF works great IF you use a SSD and the cache is also small.

Not many use x64 bit office as 32bit has been the reliable norm. Sure hope we do not have to update to Office x64, hard to justify expense!
I've not bought a retail version of Office in a long time, but my understanding is that any modern (post 2010 version) Office license includes both 32 and 64 bit; it's users choice which to install. Granted, most install the 32 bit by default, and there is time expense to uninstalling 32 bit to install 64 bit.

All our users that are using Outlook are running flash disk. I recently replaced my desktop with a pc with an NVMe drive, Office 2019 64 bit, and KOFF is worse than when I was running a previous version of 32 bit Outlook. We have instructed our users to run many filters and if they need to search a big mailbox to log into the webmail client.

Well thank god more people start to talk about KOFF and Outlook . I guess i m unlucky that the companies I support all use outlook.Kerio client is nice to do really simple things. You cannot for example have 2 emails which a lot of users have and many more things that kerio client just doesnt do. I ll ask once again. Is Kerio sold as exchange replacement? Its impossible to keep waiting for whole months to see improvement to one of the most basic things GFI should have fix long time ago. i have a 12 kerio installations and i really cant stand anymore the complains from the clients for the outlook hangings.
