i install newest EMS 20080702 ,create db use unicode,i can collect chinese windows event ,and display right.but when i collect chinese syslog,i found the chinese is error.how can i resolve it?

Did U use the default collation setting in your SQL? There are no syslogs in Windows. There are only WMI logs. Are U referring to the event logs in your Chinese Windows Servers?

i run GFI ESM at Chinese Windows,and it can t collect chinese windwos event,but if the syslog include chinese ,ESM can't display them right . if i change default collation setting in SQL,ESM 'll can't find db.

In order to best assist you, and the rest of our customers, I would advise opening a support ticket with us at http://support.gfi.com. This would be the fastest way to hear from our developers regarding support of Chinese characters in the syslog and data logging modules.
