GFI MailArchiver status: Online
Synchronization started at: 9/3/2008 5:46:50 PM.
Synchronization completed at: 9/3/2008 5:46:54 PM.
GFI MailArchiver Mailbox: An unknown error occurred while connecting to GFI MailArchiver! (HTTP error: 500)

I can see the emails in the web interface but not in outlook.

Status: offline 		FYI   I figured this out.
You can get this error if you have your GFI server on two different subnets (dual nic) and it registers the other address in dns as well as the interface on the lan of the machine your using outlook on.

as soon as i told the server not to register the connection in DNS on the other lan, deleted the entry from dns and ran ipconfig /flushdns it started working

Status: offline 		We experienced a similar problem but found a workaround by enabling Debug Mode then immediately disabling it.

Status: offline 		We ran into the exact same issue, however I have more to add that makes this issue unacceptable and something GFI needs to look into further.

Simply enabling debug mode and then disabling Debug mode works to correct the issue as you state,  However if you then restart the server, the problem is right back until you go in and enable and disable debug mode again. 

I don't want to have to go through this every time that I reboot the server. We need a permanent fix.
