Enabling HTTPS on console? Friday, July 01, 2016 10:25 PM (permalink)
How do I access the console remotely via https?  I'm sending password plaintext through basic authentication to it now, which is undesirable obviously.

That is not currently an option.  You can put in a feature request for it at feedback.gfi.com

Note that the console can only be accessed on the local network.  It is not meant to be used from outside the network.

      Thanks for the information.

I must comment here for posterity however that encryption is a must even when used on internal networks.  It is no longer acceptable to send clear text passwords over trusted links.  I'm extremely surprised a security focused product does not have this feature.

Sorry but this is an absolute no-go, especially for a security related product!  What about the client traffic, is it possible to route traffic over the proxy using SSL without activating the HTTPS scanning feature?
