Disclaimer issue Friday, January 20, 2017 3:33 PM (permalink)
Is anyone else that's upgraded having bizarre issues with the disclaimers??

If I have our disclaimers enabled and an email goes out to any Microsoft email system they come through as blank emails. Send the same emails elsewhere and it works absolutely fine. It's like when the disclaimer is on and its set to go to any microsoft account it just goes weird.

Even weirder is the fact that I have a gmail account that downloads messages from a hotmail account. If I view the message in the hotmail client first its blank. once gmail downloads it - it works absolutely fine!!!

If i disable the disclaimers the email and its content are displayed perfectly!!!!

It appears to affect hotmail, outlook, msn, live and 365 accounts.

Anybody else?!?

    Hi monkeyman

This sounds like the same issue we have, we upgraded to version 20161125 Build 20.2 last week 16/01/2017 and since then random emails are blank, after seeing your post we have stopped email disclaimers to see if this resolves the issue.

Have you raised a support case with GFI ?

      Hi Carl,

Not at present. When I log into the customer portal now - all I get is support company numbers and not the ability to raise a case.

I'll have a look and see if i can find the support form tucked away on the website somewhere.

        Hi Eddy H

We have now raised a support case with GFI through our distributors of the license, we are in the UK, they have said "they are investigating this issue"
The case number with them is  GFI-170123-447185, if you want to update them with your issue.

        Thanks

          Hello Eddy H

Just an update regarding this issue.

Just had the following update from GFI
My name is Douglas, I am the Product Specialist for GFI MailEssentials and I have taken ownership of this case.
We have confirmed this is a known issue from our side and Development is currently working to resolved this.
Thanks for your patience, I will keep you updated with any activity.

I'll chime in and say we've experienced a couple clients that a user has sent emails to and the email body was blank. I changed the default message format from HTML to Plain Text for that user and that seemed to have cleared it up. I hope GFI gets this fixed soon, who knows how many others that have gone out and were blank...

I'm seeing a similar issue with one of my clients.  Intermittently, emails are coming through with a completely blank body only on mobile devices.  The same message in Outlook looks fine.  I am pretty sure it is related to GFI ME, though not necessarily disclaimers.  It started happening about a month ago when the AV scanner started crashing ~ two times per week and stopped processing messages.  They would fill-up the FailedMails folder and messages would stop being delivered.  I had to restart the AV scanner to get it to work again, then it would fail a few days later.  I eventually had to disable Information Store scanning AND the Vipre component completely to get the crashing to stop.

I have a ticket registered with support on this so I'll let you know if I get anywhere with this.

I've got the same issue but I can't download the link. Any other source?

If this is still an issue please log into the accounts.gfi.com portal and open a support case so they can get you the patch.
