Test failed. Error: Data Access Layer: Connection failed
Additional info: Login failed for user 'archiver'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

I checked the option in the Security tab for SQL & Windows authentication but when I press OK the change does not stay... it goes back to windows authentication. I think this is the problem but the install script creates the two users (archive/browse) but then cannot connect. Any idea why this option won't change?

Try to register ASP.NET again as per the procedure in the following link :
http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/mar3/mar3manual-1-07.html

If the issue persists, Ensure that the ASPNET account permission to write to and read from the directory to get this working has write access to 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP'.
Please go to c:\windows\temp right click and chose properties > Security, here Click on Add and find out the ASP.Net user, add and then allow full control and run the application again.
