I never had any kind of problems but not for so long I have this problem.

I get the error that kaspersky and bitdefender can't update. He succesfully downloaded the updates, but he can't update the profiles. Only those has that problem. The others update succesfully....

Does anyone has a solution?... U use the newest version. Also I installed Symantec CE 10.0 but I have select the GFI-folders NOT to be scanned.

I have the same problem. It happened after upgrading to Symantec CE 10. I still haven't found a workaround yet. Any ideas?

Try to disable the virus scanner from scanning the MailSecurity directories.

I already did that. That's the first thing you should do if you have Security running on the same server as Symantec AV. The virusscanner doesn't scan the GFI-folders...

Still I don't know the solution.... ANYONE !

I have been working with GFI on the issue. The following is a reply that has worked from some people. I am still have the problem. Try the following.

I was discussing this issue in a department meeting this morning, and several techs reported that renistalling MSEC with a clean installation resolves the problem. Please follow these directions to do this:

1. In the MSEC configuration, take note of the properties of all rules and your license key.
2. Uninstall MSEC
3. Remove the MSEC directory
4. Remove the hklm\software\gfi fax and voice registry key
5. Reboot
6. Reinstall.
7. Configure MSEC
8. manually download files

Can you inform us of the exact error message that you are getting from MailSecurity?

You may also want to contact GFI support on this issue, so we can continue troubleshooting using the log files.

I'm also having this issue. It's a new build of SBS 2003 with Mail Security 8.1 and Symantec 10. As always, Symantec is set to not scan the GFI directory. Any good answers yet?
