Good evening. I did my first setup of GFI Backup 2009 today on XP SP2 Home. Of course I installed it as Administrator (ie: the first profile with full rights, while I usually work only on a limited other one). First problem: the software does not really install for system-wide use: - The Run registry key is set for CurrentUser, I had to move it to LocalMachine by hand. After that it actually autoruns for all the users. - Then of course the intelligent and handy options to save user settings can only apply to the current user, even when setup from the Admin account... I'm wrong ? Second problem: the option "wake computer before running" does not appear to work (context: signed-in as a simple user, computer in standby mode, option set to require a password on screen saver, task to be run on the Admin account): - According to the logs and visual look at the LED, the PC did not wake up from simple standby. - This PC is a EeeBox with no system problem. I was previously using a solution relying on WakeupOnStandBy that *did* wake it up... Very disappointed because this software has all the clever options I need, and this last one is mandatory. I wish it could really work safely in addition... Thank you for any solution. Best regards.
