Is there any way to speed up reindexing?

Its is taking days to complete a reindex of a 30gb DB.

In fact how can I check it is even working as it doesn't appear to be incrementing the indexed email count

Hi
Turn on debug mode and then after an hour or so check the file in \MailArchiver\Search\Debuglogs\IndexJob.log

You are looking for '"Last Docid : #######"' in the description column.

Idealshopping,

One way that indexing can be increased is to disable the indexing of attachments. If you are able and want to give this a try please check out http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID003164 as it goes over the steps on how to do this for you.

John, If you do turn off indexing of the attachments, and later decide to turn it back on. Would you have to rebuild the index or will it start going through the attachments of the emails you've already indexed?
