Have noticed similar floppy disk activity when the scheduled backup takes place to an internal hard drive. Why GFI Backup wants to access the floppy drive even if the backup set does not have anything from there?

Using Windows XP SP3 with GFI Backup 3.0 (Build 20091022).

FDD activity is normal. The program tries to find all devices, especially during the creation of VSS snapshots.
Regarding the speed of the program, this depends on a lot of factors. How long does it take for an Windows Explorer copy-paste operation, using the same source and destination as GFI Backup ?
