to conserve space, i have backed up to a zip file in gfi backup.
when i try a restore file, it seems that though i can restore a folder, i cannot restore an individual file. is this the expected behavior of the program?

no error......if i click on a file in the backup list under advanced settings, it tells me in the pop up that the file doesn't exist in the backup volume. the icon to restore remains greyed out. when i click on the folder containing the file, the restore icon activates, i can restore or restore to the entire folder including its contained files that the pop up told me did not exist. so, i can restore a folder from the zipped bavkup file but not an individual file.

I can't reproduce this.
I will need more information to be able to debug this. Please send me your .GTB and .LOG files of the task that is causing this situation. You can find out how to do that here.

Thanks i received the files.
Now can you tell me which file are you trying to restore?
