Hi all, I've searched the forum for this information but could not find it. Maybe someone can help me with this, or point out where I failed to find the info. My client wants to start using the List Server in GFIME for sending newsletters. Testing shows that the letter is sent using his own email address. Is it possible to change the sender address to an anonymous address like 'noreply@company.com'? Or do I have to make a noreply mailbox on my exchange server and let him send the letter from that account? Thnx for reading!

I don't believe it's possible, as the email addresses are automatically generated from the newsletter name. You may wish to experiment with calling your newsletter "noreply". However, you can set permissions in the properties of the newsletter allowing only specific people to publish the newsletters, which sounds like what you're trying to achieve.

@RSP, thnx for your reply. A recipient of the list server receives the newsletter with these adresses: From: "Roel Floor" <rfloor@company.com> To: <newsletter@company.com> I would like the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address. instead of the personal address of the user who sended the email to the list server. As I understand from your reply, this should already be the case. Hope this makes sense. :)

Ah. In that case... You will need to create a noreply@ or newsletter@ mailbox, and give the authorised senders full mailbox access so they can change the From address when sending from Outlook.

Thnx! I will configure the 'noreply' mailbox on the exchange server. I do think being able to modify the 'mail from' address is a nice feature request. Cheers!

Pop your feature request in the Feature Requests sticky-topic for it to be considered. Something like "hide the from address with a noreply@ on newsletters and discussion lists"?
