Hello,

I'm running the latest build from a Win2k8 x64 server.

I'm able to set up perf counter monitor checks for our Win2k3 32bit servers but for anything Win2k3 x64 or Win2k8 x64 servers I am greeted with a login, I enter the correct Admin-level login and the next screen shows the remote computer IP, I hit "refresh counters" and nothing happens (no errors, no perf objects listed).

I've got the right services enabled (remote registry, WMI) and I can telnet to said x64 servers using 'telnet remote_ip 139'

Any ideas?

Thanks,

~ Jon

There were some known issues with OLDER builds of the software in regards to this, but the latest build (20090218) fixed this. Are you able to pull performance counters from the LOCAL GFI Network Server Monitor machine? Also, is GFI installed on a Virtual Machine?

I checked, I am running the latest build.

Trying to do gfi performance monitors on my local system worked fine.

Does this happen to be a virtual machine?

No, but this server is running 'hyper-v' along with several guest OSes. I was able to successfully set up performance counter monitors (via gfi) for the W2k3r2 x32bit guest OSes (ran on a different hyper-v server in the same network) but nothing running w2k3r2 x64.

Thanks

Some users have found these steps to work: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956

However you may want to open a support request with us at http://support.gfi.com/Support/support.aspx?lcode=en so we can verify the trouble first.
