Hi, we have just upgraded our exchange 2007 with roll up 9 and before a week upgraded to roll up 7 & 8 and noticed that the MailEssentials is not functioning properly in such a way that mails are not being moved to users subfolder inside their mailboxes. although exhcange 07 tracking shows that those messages are recevied but mailessentials dashboard showing that it got blocked by specific filter, for our case it was bayesian filter and action states it should be moved to subfolder..and dammm nothing is there. I even reinstalled the MailEssentials but same results.. I need help URGENT

Hi lomaree, Just to confirm that I'm understanding well, the issue is that spam is being blocked but is not being moved to the sub folders within Exchange mailboxes, right? Can you please open the file <GFI MailEssentials folder>\DebugLogs\mvexch.gfi_log.txt and see if any errors are being reported? Error lines would be logged like this: 2009-10-05,08:45:36,101,2,"#00001318","#00000950","error" Please post a reply containing a part of the processing of one email from the above mentioned log file. This can be done by copying content between "Entering MoveToExchFolder" "===========================================================" and the next "==========================================================="

Hi lomaree, Can you please create the following registry values so that the log file I mentioned would be created: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI\ME14\Config] "Debug"=dword:00000001 "Logdir"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\GFI\\MailEssentials\\debuglogs" Note: I am assuming that you have GFI MailEssentials 14 installed. If you have GFI MailEssentials 12 instead of 14, the difference is in the name of the product under the GFI key (ME12 instead of ME14). Also, the path of the logdir value should be the same as where the DebugLogs folder of MailEssentials is. Also, there is the possibility that the issue is caused by the fact that the 32bit CDOSYS is not registered, as mentioned in the below MSDN link. Can you try the mentioned fix for this issue and see if this solves your problem? http://blogs.msdn.com/mstehle/archive/2007/12/11/fyi-after-installing-exchange-2007-sp1-32-bit-cdosys-might-not-be-registered.aspx
