I would like to run a check every 6 hours to make sure NSM is running.  I've had problems with it crashing, and I want it to send me alert to tell me it's running.

Is there any way to set up an alert based on a ping that tells me that something succeded, instead of failed?

You can customize the alerts for items that recently fail, and items that "return to successful" from a failed state. There are no actions for actions that succeed at this time.

Also looking for such feature. Or a daily report feature so i can check that GFI is running.

Perhaps you are looking for the C:\Program Files\GFI\Network Server Monitor 7\nsmreprt.exe utility?
