It is our pleasure to announce GFI EndPointSecurity 4.2 BETA.
List of new features:
- NEW: Support for Windows 7
- NEW: Support for Windows 7 BitLocker to Go encrypted devices
- NEW: Freeware mode – the functionality will be limited to monitoring only. The product enters in freeware mode after the evaluation period has expired.
- NEW: Activity log – a quick way to view the users activity
- NEW: New reports in the Report Pack:

List of fixes (if applicable):
- FIXED: RAR and P7M files are not controlled when their extension is renamed.
- FIXED: In some situations the agents are reported incorrectly as not up-to-date.
- FIXED: When “File-type Filter” is set to “Block all files but allow…” folders on the removable devices can’t be renamed.
- FIXED: Some Floppy and CDRom devices are not detected by the Device Scan tool.
- FIXED: If administrative shares are disabled the update of the agents is returning an access denied error
Licenses:
- The licenses of GFI EndPointSecurity 4.0 and 4.1 still work for GFI EndPointSecurity 4.2
- The “EVALUATION” key will also work for 10 days after which the product will switch to “freeware mode”

- HDD – 100 MB

- CPU (supports both x86, x64) – 2.4 GHZ Quad Core
- Memory – 4 GB
