I have GFI installed on a 2008 server which relay our mail to exchange, I set some Discussion list but you can email them cause the address not found.

Is this because it not on an exchange server or have I done something wrong?

I assume you're talking about internal users being unable to email the lists.

If so, I expect it's because you have ME on the relay; Exchange won't know where to route the messages.

If you're using Exchange 2003, the SMTP settings have an option to route unresolved recipients elsewhere - ie to your relay, but beware of mail loops though. Perhaps someone else can suggest how to do it with Exchange 2007?

Even if you have ME on the Exchange server, you have to be careful because the discussion lists don't work particularly well when you have IMF set to discard recipients that aren't in the directory. However, things might have changed for ME 14.1. I've only used the discussion lists in ME12/ME14.

Yes I was trying from my internal account, but I would like it to do external accounts as well.

I also have to move exchange up to 2007 at sometime
