Hi all,

Now I am using GFI faxmaker 12 to send faxes ( my server mail is SMTP/POP3) very good but I cannot receive any incoming fax in PDF format via email format although I also choose "Send/Receive Option"->"receiving"-> Cut long page...+ route incoming fax...

Who can let me know why and how to fix it?

Bes regards,

Tuan

Please make sure that once you have made this change, you have restarted your GFI FAXmaker services.  If you have not, be sure to restart them and test again.

If you have restarted the services, when you change to another file extension type and restart the GFI FAXmaker services, do you see the necessary changes take effect?

When you change to another file extension type under sending/receiving options of the GFI FAXmaker configuration and restart the GFI FAXmaker services, do you see the necessary changes take effect? (does it receive as another file type?)

Hi Ernest,

I am using one fax number: 38227391 only to send fax out and when I try to change file extension (from PDF --> JPEG), restart services, send faxes ( with new format JPEG) to my partners. It is ok.

I also setup another fax number 38227381 only to receive fax in. But anytime we receive fax in, it is always printed by fax machine, never send to default email which we setup

Is the line for: 38227381 hooked up to one of the modems/cards used by your GFI FAXmaker configuration?  Is this line shared with any other fax machines, or solely dedicated to GFI FAXmaker?  If this line is shared with another fax machine, remove the fax machine and see if you have the same issue.  I'm glad you elaborated on your issue further, as this does not appear to be conversion specific, but receive specific.

These faxes that you inquire about being received as a .pdf, do you see them being received in the GFI FAXmaker monitor, or do they come directly in to your fax machine?

hi Ernest,

server 1 is using 38227391 only for sending. server 2 is using 38227381 only for receiving

2 lines ( 38227391, 38227381) are not share, they are different numbers and dedicated.

faxes that I inquire about being received as a .pdf not received in the GFIfaxmaker monitor, they come directly in to my fax machine. Hic Hic

Best regards,

Tuan

Unless your faxes are received by GFI FAXmaker (meaning you would see them receive in the GFI FAXmaker monitor), we have no authority on how the faxes are received (file format).  If you would like to receive a fax as a .pdf, please make sure GFI FAXmaker receives it.

Hi Ernest,

When I check Message Transfer Agen of GFI Faxmaker monitor. That is the information:

Email2Fax Gateway Idle
Inbound Queue 0 Item (s)
Inbound Transfer Thread Idle
Last file <None>
Outbound queue 11 Item (s)
Outbound Transfer Thread Idle
Last Address <none>
SMS Transfer Thread Inactive
Incoming SMS Transfer Thread Inactive

Could you give me some idea about that?

Best regards,

Tuan
