Can't seem to save to xml

The dialog box to save to xml comes up, I type in a name, and it saves a file with 0k with that name. Any ideas?

I've figured out that if my scan is "too big" (I haven't yet figured out what that limitation is) it will not save to xml. I did a smaller scan of about 25 nodes and it worked fine.
