Hi,

Do you think you could provide an example of TextAPI formatted text file ? I just tried it out, and the fax was rendered correctly with Courier New ( after changing the textapi.htm ).

Hello Max.  Sorry I had not posted anything here.  I have been also working with tech support over the phone and I think we might have found a possible solution to the problem.  This is what the tech sent me:

Since the text is being submitted as a separate attachment, FAXmaker is not populating this information within the [message] field of your cover page. This means that nothing in the HTML coding of the cover page would have any impact on how this text is rendered.

I was able to make a change to the font using the following steps:

1) In the FAXmaker configuration go to "Advanced" ->  "Document Conversion", Properties. In the extension box place TXT and within the command box type PRINT . Clicking "Add" should place this entry into the list.

2) After adding this, restart both FAXmaker services

3) While logged into the same account being used to logon our servivces, open Notepad.

4) Under "File"-> "Page Setup" remove the variables from "Header" and "Footer". Click OK (This will prevent the page number and filename that notepad prints by default from appearing on your faxes)

5) Still within Notepad, go to "Format" -> "Font...". Select the font and size you wish to use and click OK. Close notepad.

Submit a fax job as you normally would. You should see that the invoice section of the fax job reflects the font specified in notepad.

Maybe this will help to anybody else that might be experiencing the same issue.

Thanks,
Rodney Gonzalez

Hi,

Actually in one of my previous posts I asked you whether you were submitting text attachments along with your TextAPI files but you said you weren't and that's what confused me. Glad you managed to overcome the problem. We will be looking into replacing the existing Lucida font for rendering the text attachments with a proper monospace font ( like Courier New ).
