hi all,

just wondering if anyone can assist. I've taken over a network, and they have gfi faxmaker 12 installed on one of the servers. it has a in600 netcomm infra 8 port card in the server.

wen looking at the faxmaker monitor , i notice that 5 of the 8 lines are uninitialised, and 3 are waiting for call...

how do i determine where the problem lays, whether its with faxmaker, or with the modem card itself.

could someone point me in the right direction on how to determine if

1. the card is installed properly for faxmaker 12.
2. wat other application could be using the line

your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if the device you are using has a diagnostic utility, but if it does, see if you can test outside of GFI FAXmaker and check whether the lines can send/receive. Please keep me posted.

hi ernestbyrd,

from what i can see, there aren't any install programs that came with the device, quite strange i thort. but in device manager, there are 8 new com ports for the netcomm intra port, com's 11-18, but there are only 6 new netcomm modem devices for some reason.

i'm worried that if i uninstall everything, and reinstall, that nothing will work, then i'll be in the sh*&s with the managers
