Hi rrundquist, Well, you put it correctly, it SHOULD, but it really depends on a lot of things. Anyway, I recommend to always upgrade to the latest version of the program, since each new version have bugfixes and/or optimisations and new features.

Hi, Just to add to this, I run XP SP3 and have the same issue of the "rescheduling" not working right. It never gets updated and reset to the next time it should run. And since I have run at startup, it simply runs everytime I start my computer, quite annoying :).... Anyway, I have the latest build, at least according to the Check Updates feature, so, any other new news on when this might be fixed, as it was working A-OK in Titan Backup when I moved to this new version. Thanks! Mark

Hi Mark, So, you're having a task scheduled to run at a specific time and you have checked "reschedule if missed" ? Well, if your computer is turned off when it has to run the task, the task will run as soon as GFI Backup starts again, NOT at the next schedule time, that's the way that rescheduling works, so if you have set GFI Backup to run at startup, your missed task will run after you start the computer. If you don't want this to happen, just uncheck "reschedule if missed" from "Scheduler" tab. After you do that, your task should run only at the scheduled time.

Hi, Here is what I have. The task is set up to run every 7 days, at startup. I then re-boot, the task runs, but the next run date does not get updated. So, I re-boot again, and it runs again, and this will happen forever. As in, every time I startup (re-boot), the task runs. The "next run" is not being updated so it just sits at the same date, and therefore everytime I start the computer the task runs. Hopefully this makes sense. Sorry my previous post was not clear. Thanks! Mark

Mark, I was unable to duplicate your problem. However, I have some suggestions for you. First, there is a new version of GFI Backup 2009, please try to update your program to this latest version. After the update will be complete, it is possible that some of your tasks to start and hang at 0% 5 minutes, then end with a strange error (Client stopped responding during Task execution). Don't worry, this will happen only after the update and won't break your tasks. Edit the task scheduled to run Saturday and enter the credentials in the Scheduler tab, it seems that you have wrong credentials there, probably no password. Save the task, run it and see if the next run is correctly updated.

HI, I have downloaded the current (new) version. At the moment, it seems like the update has fixed the issue, which is good news. I will not more when it runs as scheduled and will make sure the reschedule date gets updated correctly. Thank you, Mark
