I've run into this exact same problem since installing 14.1. Very aggravating. This is the first build that has caused me any real problems. For me, it jumps between different modules that fail. Today is is whitelist, and surbl. I'd love a fix for this soon.

Hi, The crashes of the Whitelist module have been addressed in a patch which we distributed and made available in the following forum post and KB: http://forums.gfi.com/Patch_Information_-_GFI_MailEssentials_14%251_build_20090826/m_900781227/tm.htm http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID003637 As for the other crashes which were reported, namely in SURBL and Blacklist modules, these have been addressed as well and they shall be released as part of a service release which we aim to make available soon. The service release will also contain the other patches we have released and some other issues which have been addressed. Also please note that when such crashes occur, the impact is namely that of failing to process the email in question which would have triggered the crash. A copy of the email which caused the crash would be located in the failed mails folder. The GFI MailEssentials Scan Engine service would automatically restart once the next email is passed for processing from IIS\Exchange, and processing of other emails wouldn’t be affected. Another thing which I wanted to point out is that we’re using information provided through the Windows Error Reporting system of Microsoft, through which we have been able to identify some of the issues which have been reported. We recommend having Error Reporting enabled, since we automatically get certain troubleshooting information which would help us identify such problems.

Neil, this is excellent news - I'd suggest publicising it more. However, be careful to not suggest that ME crashes often !!!
