If you're desperate for the disclaimers, take a look at CodeTwo's Exchange Rules, which has a free trial. The trial doesn't have a time limit, but does mention CodeTwo in the disclaimer.

I know it's another app for your server, but it might get you out of a sticky situation whilst the problem is diagnosed and fixed.

Hi everyone,

I just uninstalled MailEssentials 14.1 and re-installed version 14 build 20090408, because I need the disclaimer. It works without problems. I just had to enter the ip address of the mail server and our domain, all other information stayed active of the previous installation.

The GFI support informed me that they did not found a solution so far. The don't think that there will be a solution during this week. As this issue can't be easily reproduced in a testing environment, they can't find a quick workaround to help with the disclaimers.

Regards,
Susanne

Hi,

We are at the moment studying the information provided for this issue. The disclaimers seem not to be the root of the issue but a module that inderectly causes the problem. When a disclaimer is set, the email is re-written, and it's in this operation and returning the email to the queue that seems to be causing the problem with the queues.

To have a better understanding on this problem, we would need a copy of the emails before and after being processed by MailEssentials. Therefore, anyone encountering the issues described in this forum thread, please follow the procedure below:

A. Access the GFI MailEssentials Dashboard and click on the option "Keep a copy of every email before and after email processing".
Also please make sure that the tracing is enabled.

B. Reproduce the problem and save a copy of the email, before being sent and the eml file stuck in the queue.

C. Collect Sink Archive files.

i) Once the issue has been reproduced, zip the contents of the Email backup folder specified in the step A.

D. Disable Sink Archive by accessing the Dashboard and uncheck the option "Keep a copy of every email before and after email processing"

E. Generate Troubleshooter files. (These files contain important information, which will allow us to investigate the issue.)

i) The troubleshooter files can be generated from the MailEssentials troubleshooter program that can be found in the MailEssentials program group.
ii) Please answer the questions set by the troubleshooter as accurately as possible.
iii) Once the troubleshooter program is finished, it will create a number of files under the MailEssentials\Support directory.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please compress all files into one zip file (including the files collected in 3 above). So a single zip should contain the Support folder, the email backup folder and the .eml or .msg files of the email.

Once you have all this information, please contact support using the form (http://support.gfi.com/Support/supportrequest.aspx?lcode=en) and make reference to this forum thread by pasting the URL into the description.

This information will allow us to better pinpoint the issue.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,

Where is this? I'm using the latest version of 14.1. I don't see this option anywhere in the dashboard.

I'm having what I believe may be the same or similar issue. Sure would like to collect the data for you. Especially since I found a way to recreate the problem.

Hi all,

I just received news from GFI (support case of September) regarding this problem:

The problem will be solved in the upcoming Service Release 1.
This is due to be released to the public in the end of October / beginning of November.
I'll let you know when the MailEssentials 14.1 Service Release 1 is available for download.
Thanks for your patience.

Best regards,
Susanne
