I am trying to determine if there is anything I can do to reduce the number of handshaking errors that we receive when sending faxes. We send approx. 1100 broadcast faxes per day and our handshaking failure rate is consistently about 9%. We are using FaxMaker 12 with a Brooktrout card sending via 6 lines. Are there any logs or stats that would give me me detailed information on the reason for the handshaking failure, particulary whether the cause is on our end or the receiving machine's end? Are there any settings within FaxMaker that I can adjust to see if an improvement occurs?

I would suggest upgrading to FAXmaker 14 and upgrading your drivers for the TR1034 board.  If issues persist, we can go about testing in the Diagnostic tool for this board provided by Dialogic.

Once you upgrade to FAXmaker 14, you can open a new case here: www.gfi.com/supportform if handshaking failures continue.
