Hi, first post.

We are using ME 12.0.  Upgrade is in the pipeline.

No Bayesian updates since installation in 2006 due to proxy. We have a Unix Squid proxy. We are following the advice in
http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID003190

but the Windows service rejects all attempts with "The account name is invalid or does not exist . . .".  It is looking for a Windows NTLM account. How to get past this ? I contacted GFI but no solution yet.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

Declan

Allow access from your server by IP through squid without authentication. If you want to be more specific, define the destinations in that KB article.

See 9.3 for examples: http://docstore.mik.ua/squid/FAQ-9.html

Let's hope the new proxy feature in 14.1 is better.
