Hey Guys,

I am currently running a demo of GFI NSM 7.0 and am trying to set up a monitor to watch for account lockouts of specific domain accounts. These are Windows 2003 AD domain accounts we will me monitoring. I'd like to watch for and be alerted on specified domain accounts when they are locked out.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Ideally, using GFI EventsManager would be the best way to do this. It is designed to do this out-of-the-box

Idealy we are looking for a way of performing an authentication against LDAP with the credentials of each account and report back if a log on attempt were to fail. We don't want to monitor the event logs because we have numerous domain controllers in which an account could be locked out on.

There is no default check within GFI network Server Monitor that could do this, although if you have the experience writing Visual Basic scripts GFI network Server Monitor could do this.
