Hi, We are currently useing outlook to send email with attachment to GFI. Is it possible that the confirmation report sent back to someone else rather than the sender? Cheers Daniel

Confirmation receipts should be returned to the licensed GFI FAXmaker user that sends the fax. It may be the case that it does not properly upload the transmission report depending on your mail server connectivity. I would suggest reviewing your smtp_in_log under the Faxmaker\logs directory to see where or to whom the transmission reports are uploading.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I know it should go back to sender. But sometimes we have several sender sending the fax, but we need only one person to look after the confirmation report. So my question is is there a way to get all the confirmation report sending to one particular user. Cheers Daniel

Unfortunately the Transmission Report only returns to the FAXmaker licensed user that sent the fax if using Outlook or the FAXmaker client message form to send the fax. Text API or XML API drops an error report to the scan folder. What I see commonly for more of a global Transmission Report in an environment is the option to print failed fax reports to a printer. You can do so under Sending/Receiving options in the FAXmaker configuration by selecting to print if failed to a printer you configure within FAXmaker. Once you make this selection, be sure to restart the GFI FAXmaker services. One other option that you can try, is make a rule in your mail client to forward from a specific domain to one user account. You then can forward anything from the faxmaker.com domain to your intended Transmission Report Administrator. This should give you the same desired results.

I haven't used Outlook before, I am a Lotus Notes user, but I have an option to create a mail rule Rule 1 Sender = GFI.Faxmaker@faxmaker.com then send full document to MyAdmin@mycompany Rule2 Sender = GFI.Faxmaker@faxmaker.com then delete document This would redirect all transmissions from the user to the central reviewer and it would also delete the email from the intended recipients mailbox.
