Hi,

I am pretty new to GFI Languard and I am currently trying to configure most of our computers to go by a standard build.  Part of the standard build for our computers should include:

RealPlayer
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Adobe Flash Player
IP Office Phone Manager(Avaya program)
Java
J2SE
Macromedia Flash Player
Mozilla Firefox
Oracle Jinitiator
Quicktime

How do I go about creating auto-install switches for each of these programs in GFI Languard so there is no user interaction and what switches do I need to update these programs once installed?

Other programs that I might need to install and update are:

Freemind
Gimp
Open Office
Star Office

Any help is much appreciated!

There are two videos now available on YouTube regarding silent deployment of Adobe Acrobat and the GFI MailArchiver Outlook Connector:

GFI LANguard and Adobe - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHZd5zUBzd4&feature=related

GFI LANguard and Outlook Connector - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyzswCObvms&feature=related

You need to contact each vendor and determine their "silent install" switches - Each company is different some use /silent, others simply use /s or /quiet - There are too many variations to list each one, but a simple search in Google with the phrase "silent install" like: "Java silent install" or "realplayer silent install" works great

Cheers for the info Drew!

How do I create separate groups then for these installs, say if some groups require different programs than others?

Cheers!

I'm not sure I understand your question - Can you clarify for me?
