I am running ME14 on a frontend server. The backend is Exchange 2003. My Exchange server recently ran out of Name Props space. I've been looking for a source for the x-headers and found an article that said that ME modifies the x-headers. Is that true? Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Unfortunately, unless you have something that will strip x-headers from inbound email, you may hit this limit. I have a ticket in with GFI to get the list of x-headers they add. From what I understand, there are not that many.
There are programs, including SPAM that add x-headers to email, and as previously stated, if you don't have something to filter them you are stuck.
Are you running Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007. There is a x-header filter available for 2007 already, if you are running Exchange 2003, you need to write an event sinc to clear them.
For 2007, the header filter agent, you can find here. http://www.codeplex.com/HeaderFilterAgent

Thanks. We are running 2003 SP2. Any idea as to where I might find some guidance to write the event sync?

Unfortunatley, I have the same problem. I currently have a friend working on it, as I haven't touched code in better than 20 years.
If you are going to do some searching for it, you are hunting for "event sink" not sinc|sync.
A couple of warnings I found while digging around, there are a few that are sharepoint specific and a couple like x-loop that you may want look up. ( I found them somewhere while digging around, can't seem to find it right now)

Sorry I can't be much help along those lines.

Althugh, GFI (hint, hint) I would love to see if you guys would add it to one of your featers to strip x-headers...
