I attempted to upgrade to the latest build of Report Pack 8 and after uninstallation during installation of new build I get an error:

Internal Error 2878. SQLDB, ListBox, IMHS-SQL.

Any ideas?

Would it be possible to stop the Microsoft SQL Browser Service on "IMHS-SQL" and try the installation again? Once the product is installed you can re-start the service. This service's main purpose is to identify IMHS-SQL as a SQL server to the network. Applications already using IMHS-SQL as a SQL server should not have any trouble with this service being stopped temporarily.

The SQL server being used is a production SQL instance on another server. The SQL Browser service is disabled on that server.

Can you clarify - SQL Browser is disabled on IMHS-SQL?

Yes..
EventsManager and Report Pack installed on IMHS-WD with the SQL server being IMHS-SQL. I looked and the SQL Server Browser service shows disabled on IMHS-SQL.

Can you try running this from a command prompt:
EventsManager8RP.exe RUNONLYONCE=0
