Hi team,
I have an issue which is causing me considerable problems. I have GFI ME 14.0 Build 20090408 running on SBS with exchange Version: 6.5.6944.0.
Its a small environment and relatively straightforward.
I have been using GFI for some time now without issues. Recently I received a request from the business, asking that mail directed at specific mailboxes be passed through the spam filter. These mailboxes are monitored by more than one user and it was deemed that ther was a zero tolerance for false positives and a considerable tolerance for spam. (There is no particular history of false positives since I started the job but there was a history prior to my arrival etc. Yes, I know its silly, but as they say, he who pays the piper....)

My problem is this: Emails that are sent as spam to users are being blocked, but if these specific, whitelisted recipient mailboxes are included in the recipients field, the email passes through the mail filter and is delivered to ALL recipients, bypassing all filters.
If the same email is sent to any combination of users WITHOUT the whitelisted recipient, the email is blocked.
So evidently adding those "Catch all" addresses to the recipient list allows spammers to bypass my nice mail filtering.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible to allow the message ONLY to the specific mailbox configured in the whitelist?
If as I suspect this is not possible, is there any other way of ensuring that a specific mailbox can be "opened up" without compromising the rest of the mailboxes in this way?

regards
