Hi all guys, hope someone can help me very urgently because I am having problem now with the GFI MailSecurity, the previous time I access it it was successful, but now, my evaluation license is about to expire and it I still ahve 4 days left to use it. My question is, when I click on the GFI MailSecurity i cannot manage to by pass from the index of the web interface, I only getting the GFI MailSecurity intro..can someone please help me on how to open MailSecurity?Is there any service that needs to start or ging to enabble something in the IIS? Thank you very much! GB!

have you tried restaring all the GFI services?
I have had some problems in the past and this corrected it.
You may also need to try the IISRESet from a command prompt.

hi charlie, thank you for the reply, yes i did try that, it only work for the first time you open, the second time it can't load anymore, I even restarted the server. Any another guess?

Hi,

You could try to switch from "IIS mode" to "local mode" using the tool "Switchboard" located in the MailSecurity program group. Is the application loaded in this mode?

i havent try it yet, because the time i was able to try switching, it hang and i cannot do anything, the only thing to make it open is to restart the server. and as ive said, you can open the MailaSecurity GUI only once (the first time, succeeding, no luck).

are you running any Anti virus software localy?
If so turn it off ,restart the gfi and IIS services and see if it works.

Hi charlie, thank you for your reply, no, the server doesnt have any antivirus installed because it is a dedicated internet email gateway server. And also, how can i prevent the license users/ emails to add some bogus emails? Thanks!

Hi,

To switch between IIS and local mode you do not need to use the main GUI from MailSecurity. Running the "Switchboard" tool you should be able to switch between these options.

Do you have problems running the Switchboard aswell?

yes i have problem running the switchmode as well, I cannot open it when the server is up for a long time, but I can open it once when the server is freshly boot or start. What do you think is the problem? And also do you have any opinion how to permanently delete some bogus users not to add in the license? Thank you
