Did some testing of embedding a virus into a word document and sending it through mail security.  Checked on virus total and neither norman or bitdender of course recognize it yet but based on content type (exe in a zip in a doc file) mail security should of blocked/quarantined it.  I use other filters besides mail security and they picked it up and blocked/quarantined it.  Is there a reason that mail security would not?

Hi,

Which virus did you use in your testing? Was the word document a Word 2007 document? What application did you use to compress the word document? And was the archive password protected?
