Hi there

We are having some issues with GFI blocking all the images in our incoming mail

All external e-mails have the image path but we would rather have the images displayed.

This is turning in to a a rather large headache.

Would appreciate any help.

I thought this would have something to do with the whitelist, added in the IP address, e-mail address etc thinking GFI would just let the mail pass through with blocking the images, but i still just get the html links instead of the images and our e-mails look terrible.

Are you sure it's MailEssentials that's blocking the images and not Outlook or some other application such as antivirus/other content filtering?

We use outlook 2007 on exchange server 2000, we have gfi installed on a server running server 2000.

Funnily enough i thought it was outlook that was casing the issue, but i exhausted all avenues and was really battering my head against a brick wall, it was my manager who noticed that the problem started when we installed GFI Mail essentials. but there's another thing i cant quite get my head around, we have an application server which we use for terminal services, when i open a new email on this it displays the images. But if i open it on my office PC the HTML links are displayed, hope this all makes sense to you guys.

Can you send me some screenshots of how it should look and how it shouldn't look?

Thanks for the help RSP but this still did not resolve our problem, we have outlook configured correctly to display HTML and not plain text, i have exhausted the possibility of this being an outlook issue as this is what i first thought, any help from anyone would be much appreciated

Hats of to RSP

Cant thank you enough

The problem in the end was our new version of AVG was blocking our images from being displayed.

Configured the AVG email settings and finally got an image in our mail

Thanks Again RSP
